The 2023 The Mark is made from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon (Clone 4) and 25% Cabernet Franc (Steiner Clone). Deep garnet-purple colored, it’s a little subdued to start, slowly unfurling to offer notes of fresh black and red currants and sautéed herbs, plus hints of graphite, wet pebbles, and damp soil. The full-bodied palate delivers herb-laced black fruit layers with lightly chewy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with an herbal lift.
