Based on 100% Chardonnay from 22-year-old Wente clone vines and aged 18 months in 50% new French oak, the 2023 Chardonnay UV Vineyard offers pure honeyed melon, white flowers, crushed stone, and minty nuances with a kiss of white almond. It’s medium-bodied and pure on the palate, with concentrated fruit, integrated acidity, and a great finish. This clean, incredibly classy, balanced Chardonnay will evolve beautifully for at least a decade.
